     We Believe in Your Child Too is a community-focused 501c3 nonprofit organization designed to help families help their children seek higher education. We understand some of the challenges for families trying to send their children to seek higher education, and we believe funding/mentorship is much needed to help individuals reach their goals.

“We Believe in Your Child Too” is our commitment to improving our communities by investing in our young adults seeking higher education. We believe that educating our young adults is an investment into the future.

Donte Lampley: Norfolk State University/Nursing

Mr. Donte Lampley of Norfolk, Virginia. He is a graduate of Frank W. Cox High School (Virginia Beach) and he’s currently a "Junior" attending Old Dominion University where he is majoring in Biology and is holding a 3.2 GPA.
Donte is a former standout athlete after graduating from Cox high school he was awarded a football scholarship to play QB at South Carolina State University. At the end of his freshmen year he transferred to Old Dominion University. It was after the birth of his son "Roman" that Donte's life took on new meaning...
"My primary motivation right now in every day life, is my baby boy Roman". "Being a new father is great and provides me with a purpose to achieving my goals". His goal is to become a Nurse Anesthetist. He recently received a PCT (Patient Care Technician) scholarship thru Sentara Leigh Hospital which will allow him the opportunity to work under Register Nurses while working on his undergraduate degree (Biology/Nursing). Donte was accepted into Norfolk State University Nursing Program. He will be enrolled in their January 2020 class.
He is the eldest of 4 boys (single family) and understands that he must set the standards thru education and be that example for his younger brothers. "Growing up we didn't have much but GOD always made a way"- Donte Lampley

Christopher Thompson: Sentara College of Health Sciences (Master's in Nursing)

Mr. Christopher Thompson a Norfolk, Virginia resident and graduate of Norfolk Christian School and Hampton-Sydney College. Christopher will be pursuing his Master's in Entry Nursing Practice fall of 2018
While attending Hampton-Sydney College, Christopher was a member of the football program. He was also a active member of the Minority Student Union and Pre-Medical Society while helping the Tigers win 2 ODAC championships. It should be also stated that he maintained a GPA of 3.4 in Biology during his undergrad studies.
After graduation, Christopher taught Biology and Anatomy & Physiology to secondary students while coaching high school football in Perry, Georgia and Norfolk, Virginia. He discovered that teaching and coaching was very rewarding however his heart led him to healthcare and pursuing a degree as a Register Nurse. He will be spending the next 2 years in a Master's In Entry to Nursing Practice program. His passion for children is unmatched and he wishes to use his medical platform to effect change in our future leaders.
This is a OUTSTANDING YOUNG man from a single parent home. His love for his mother (Dee-Dee) is noticeable within minutes of meeting them.

Ayanna Alston (Nursing/James Madison University)

Lawrence Brothers Promotions is proud to announce Ayana Alston @ayanacatera as the first scholarship recipient under the We Believe In Your Child Too Foundation! Ayana received $1,000 which will be applied to her studies at James Madison University @jamesmadisonuniversity where she is majoring in nursing. Ayana exemplifies #intelligence#determination and #commitment to service, which are attributes our selection committee looked for in the first ever recipient. Please help us in congratulating Ayana! We are excited to see what the future holds for this bright young woman! 

Joe-Joe Headen (Business Marketing/ODU)

Joe-Joe, as he is affectionately called, graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in June 2016. Joe-Joe is currently a freshman at Old Dominion University where he is majoring in Mathematics on a full athletics scholarship. He holds a 3.7 GPA, is a Dean's List Scholar and one of almost 3,000 students that have earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

A strong a component of the We Believe In Your Child Too Foundation is mentoring the next generation of leader's like Joe-Joe. Through his matriculation at ODU, we will provide guidance and support, internship opportunities and career assistance to make sure students have all the tools necessary to become a strong leader in today's society.

Seth Foster (Education/Music/Old Dominion University)

Lawrence Brothers Promotions is proud to announce Seth Foster  as the winner of a $1,000 scholarship under the We Believe In Your Child Too Foundation. Seth, a native of Virginia Beach, graduated with honors from Tallwood High School. Seth will attend Old Dominion University as a Music Major. “My future goals are to become a music teacher at a high school and to be able to compose music for bands around the country. I want to inspire people and let them know that music can have a major impact on people’s lives.” - Seth Foster

Janiya Pearson (Hampton Christian Leadership Academy)

 “We Believe In Your Child Too” Foundation has provided scholarships and mentorship opportunities to deserving students across the eastern region. Today we are proud to announce our first recipient of 2018, Janiya Pearson, who exemplifies the amazing work ethic our next generation of leaders possess!

Janiya, currently a sophomore at the highly-regarded Hampton Christian Leadership Academy, learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship early on when she started her own tutu business at 12 years old. Janiya’s designs even caught the eye of the music industry and one of her tutus was featured in the “Watch Me Whip” music video! Since then, Janiya has juggled being a student-athlete maintaining all As and Bs and following her passion for track and field. She’s also a faithful member of Full Gospel Kingdom Church (#fullgospelkingdomchurch).

We Believe In Your Child Too Foundation is proud to present Janiya with a $500 educational scholarship to assist with her academic journey! After graduating high school, Janiya plans to attend college and major in business. We can’t wait to see you on Forbes list one day Janiya!
